Eliah Jasper
Creator and live performer of Sounds of Spirit.
Eliah Jasper brings ancestral living sound, contemporary psychoacoustic design, immersive audio, human presence and intention into one evolving practice.
From instrument to experience
Sounds of Spirit grows from Eliah Jasper’s long-term relationship with the didgeridoo and other resonant acoustic instruments.
His work brings together didgeridoo, crystal bowls, gongs, voice, flutes and other sound sources with contemporary binaural and spatial technology.
The purpose is not to modernise or replace the acoustic instruments, but to create a dialogue between living resonance and digital precision.
Lineage, permission and responsibility
Eliah Jasper describes having been adopted by Aboriginal Elders in Australia and having received their permission to play, teach and work with the didgeridoo in a healing context.
This forms an important part of his personal history and of the responsibility with which he carries the instrument.
It is not presented as a claim that Eliah Jasper heals participants. The experience supports the participant’s own processes of regulation, restoration and healing.

Presence, intention and holding space
More than two decades of energetic practice inform the way Eliah Jasper prepares, performs and holds each experience.
Holding space means maintaining attention, responding to the unfolding performance, regulating pacing and recognising when silence is more powerful than another sound.
Intention is carried through breath, attention, performance and silence.
An evolving field of exploration
Sounds of Spirit is both an artistic practice and an evolving field of sound research.
Eliah Jasper continues to explore the relationships between acoustic resonance, psychoacoustic pulse, spatial listening, attention, nervous-system regulation, perception and live presence.
Technology remains in service of the instruments, the experience and the participant.
